Ken Reid
As many of you know, I am the Dog Evaluator-Trainer for the St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. It is an exellent program that brings so many benefits to the lives of the people that the program visits. I began with this program in 2006 when myself and Morgan became a certified dog/handler team. Shortly thereafter I began helping with the evaluations for the testings as an Assistant Evaluator, then an Evaluator Certifier and two years ago became the Evaluator Trainer for the program. In this role, I have put on a number of different hats and along with Roberta Hewitt and David Palmer, have made some big strides in influencing the direction of the program as well as it's functioning both on a provincial and national level. It has been a real honor and privilage to be involved with Therapy Dog.
Here is an article I wrote for the recent newsleter on the grieving process. Comments are welcom
